Are you protected against the ActiveXComponent safety hole?

If you are vulnerable, after some seconds you'll see a text window launched by Notepad.

You must be aware that in theoretically no case, a webpage shoud be able to launch other applications than a new instance of your browser (except for the plug-in that you have already installed)!

If you see this text (or its icon down the screen), you are vulnerable.

Perhaps your anti-virus software will detect something on this page, since this safety hole (Js.Exception.Exploit) is now well known. It has now been fixed by Microsoft.

For those who are interested in the mechanism processed on this web page, the page creates a test.vbs file on your main hard disk's root folder. When executed, that file then produces a text file (ALERTE.txt) in your /temp folder and opens it. It is very important that you know that a .vbs file executed on your hard disk is able to do absolutely anything on your computer!!

If the experiment fails, please check that you have no test.vbs file on your hard disk(s).
